Take me out to the BALL GAME!

Okay, so it wasn't the best ball game I've been to but last night we took the girls to the Tacoma Rainier's(a minor league) baseball game against the Fresno Grizzlies. It was a benefit game for the Relay for Life so we wanted to show our support for that as well. So the night pretty much started with the girls excited but after we got in our seats and ate our "dinner" as the noise got louder both girls said "Can we go home now?" No way, we can't leave until we sing the baseball song we've been working on silly, I said. HAHA, six innings later we finally sang that song. By then the girls were actually into the game. Well, minus one setback. Both girls were unsure about the Rainier's Reindeer mascot and the Washington Huskies mascot that were there. Hayley actually begged to leave when she saw them for the first time. But two innings later, they were both watching eagerly for the next glimpse of the "silly" animals. Ashley particularly liked when they raced eachother around the bases, especially when the Huskie tripped the Reindeer and made him fall to the ground so the Huskie could win the race. :) Let's just hope she doesn't remember that come her first field day! After the Rainier's lost the game 4-3 all of the lights turned out and the fireworks began. Ashley, who usually hates loud noises, just covered her ears and enjoyed the show. She thought they were great. Hayley on the other hand was just ready to go, she was so exhausted by then. I think it was 10 o'clock at that point. She couldn't take her eyes away from watching but kept her ears covered on my shoulder and with her hand and kept saying it was just too loud and she didn't like that. All in all it was a good family night full of hot dogs, garlic fries, jumbo bags of popcorn and cotton candy.
